The experience
Leave the coast behind and discover the spiritual, scenic and cultural heart of Cyprus on a full-day journey through the Troodos Mountains.
Begin at Chrysorrogiatissa Monastery, surrounded by vineyards, pine-covered hills and peaceful mountain scenery. Continue to Throni tis Panagias, where you can take in sweeping views across the Troodos peaks and visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios III, the first President of Cyprus.
From there, travel to Kykkos Monastery, one of Cyprus’s most celebrated religious sites. Admire its colourful mosaics, peaceful courtyards and revered icon of the Virgin Mary, traditionally attributed to Saint Luke.
Pause for lunch at Stavros Restaurant in Pedoulas, this is a restaurant stop only.
Finish the day in Omodos, where cobbled streets, traditional stone buildings and the historic Timios Stavros Monastery reveal the character of Cyprus’s mountain villages. Enjoy time to explore the shops, cafés and local products at your own pace.
